Tim had always dreamed about being a United States Marine when he was a child. He joined boot camp straight out of high school and continued training during the 9/11 attacks. He graduated from Parris Island as a Machine Gunner and deployed to Iraq and was in the Second Battle of Fallujah. After his time in the Marine Corps, he joined the Army then transitioned to the National Guard with the hopes of becoming an elite solider; a Green Beret. He earned that title in 2011 and continued on with his passion for firearms as an 18B (Weapons Sergeant) with 19th Special Forces Group. In between deployments, Tim was a volunteer firefighter in his hometown of Ramsey, NJ. He loved helping people. He shared his wisdom and knowledge with everyone and always had a great story to make everyone laugh. His favorite bar was an Irish pub in Ramsey called ‘Brady’s’. He loved stopping in there for a Crown Royale whenever he was home. On September 21, 2013, while conducting training with Afghan Commandos on the range in Paktia Province, Afghanistan, a Commando turned his gun on Tim and 2 other American soldiers; killing all three. Tim lived his life to the fullest and accomplished more in his 30 years on this earth than many will in a lifetime. He died a hero and he died doing what he loved.
